Pazzo.  The Italian word for "crazy."  Ask someone who knows George Cappellini or Charlie Brusco and they'll probably tell you it's a fitting name for their record label. Some might say it's also a fitting name for anyone trying to sell records in 2010.  Crazy or not, Pazzo was founded on a few basic principles that guide the way we do business.

One, a love of music.  Sounds cliched, we know.  But it is true, and it matters.  It's amazing how many people in this business are in it for the wrong reasons.  What we do begins and ends with the fact that music makes our world turn.

Two, a need for transparency between the label and the artist.  This is a partnership.

Three, an understanding that selling records, now and in the future, is based on a new and evolving business model, and the ability to adapt is essential to survival.

George Cappellini is a marketing and promotion executive with a 30-year track record of establishing high-profile artists in the music industry.  From 1996-2004 Cappellini was the Vice President of Rock Promotion at Elektra. He created innovative branding, marketing and promotional opportunities for all rock bands on the label, including Metallica, AC/DC, Staind, Pantera, Jackson Browne, The Doors, Motley Crue and Phish.  He also developed launch strategies for new artists including Jet, SpaceHog, Damageplan and Down.

From 1986-1995 Cappellini was the vice president of Promotion for Geffen Records, managing  22 field personnel at all formats of radio promotion: Pop, AC, Rock and Modern.  While there he helped launch and develop the careers of Guns N’ Roses, Tesla, Whitesnake, The Black Crows, Michael W. Smith and Cher.  Additionally, he helped to strengthen the prominence of artists such as Don Henley, Robbie Robertson, Aerosmith and Peter Gabriel by developing strategies to exploit all forms of radio and media.

Charlie Brusco’s early love of rock and roll music led to what has become one of the industry’s most successful careers in artist management and concert promotion.  In the early 70’s, Brusco discovered and managed The Outlaws, the first act signed to Clive Davis’s Arista Records in 1973. His work with this multi-platinum southern rock giant paved the way for his relationship with classic rock radio legend, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and his successful revival of Skynyrd’s career brought other classic rock acts to his door such as Bad Company, Peter Frampton, Survivor, Tesla, John Waite, Thin Lizzy and Styx, to name just a few.

In addition to acting as a managing partner at Pazzo, Brusco is also the president of Alliance Artists in Atlanta, a premier artist management firm that manages STYX, Shaw/Blades, Bill Gentry & South 70, among others. Brusco is also scheduled to be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in September of 2010.
